Information and procedure due to COVID-19
Safety of guests and employees is in the highest priority at Hótel Ísland. We closely monitor the development of the Covid-19 epidemic. The Klinic is a subsidiary of the hotel and is in the same building where various surgical procedures are done every day, which means that the hotel has an even greater benefit in ensuring safety.
When the epidemic peaked, we temporarily closed the hotel and every room and open area were cleaned with antiseptics.
We work hard on hygiene and have taken additional steps as follows;
When guests check out at least 24 hours pass before the next guest checks into the same room.
We always respect the 2-meter rule. We have set up special markings and we apply flow control i.e. the number of guests on each floor of the hotel.
Our hotel teams are receiving ongoing briefings and enhanced operating protocols. Disinfection liquor can be found in the hotel's public areas and increased cleaning has been put in common areas such as in elevators, on door handles and other surfaces.
Arrangements have been made in the restaurant, both in the breakfast room and in the bar. We will continue to adjust food and beverage services in accordance with current food safety recommendations.
We encourage all our guests to wash their hands frequently every day. Encourage people to stay home if they experience symptoms.

Due to the COVID-19 situation, breakfast options and/or procedures may vary in order to comply to Health and safety regulations. To find out what regulations are currently in effect, please contact the hotel for further information. Procedures and protocols are subject to change at the hotel’s discretion
Because of the situation with the Corona virus we are offering our guests that have reservations with us between 15th of March 2020 until 31st of May 2020 to change dates within 1 year of the original reservation free of charge no matter what type of cancellation policy you have.
If you have a reservation with us outside of this time window please send us an email and we will look into the matter for you.
Please note that new date request is subject to availability. The request for new dates needs to be sent via email to email@example.com with the reservation number and original arrival dates. Your original confirmation number will act as a voucher.
Please note that the voucher will expire after 1 year (from your original reservation) and will not be refunded or amended after that
